Mr. Maas has served as President, General Manager, or CEO at variety of firms, including: Barton Brands, Mohawk Liqueurs (Division of Foremost-McKesson), Leaf Candies, Morand Bros Beverage Company, and US Distilled Products. He specializes in turnaround management at medium size companies ($100 to $300 million).

Duane A. Maas, Director of Technology

Duane has been using computers since buying an Apple II in 1979. He has intensive experience with the Macintosh, Windows, and Unix operating systems. He graduated from UW-Madison in Chemical Engineering and then began his career as a plastics manufacturing engineer. His knowledge of computers, led him to a job as Materials Manager for a division at Union Carbide. Furthering his computer career, Duane began his role as information Center Manager at Montgomery Ward. From there he worked at Apple Computer as a System Engineer, National Account Executive and District Sales Manager. Duane has written and taught courses for Microsoft, Apple, and Filemaker. Duane loves to play golf and tennis and holds a commercial pilot license.

Shelly Pines, CPA, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Pines has an extensive background in finance and administration, including both industry and public accounting. He has held positions as Treasurer of Superior Coffee and Foods (division of Sara Lee Corporation) Assistant Treasurer of Barton Brands, and Director of Operational Analysis at Grant Thornton LLP.

Kay Maas, Director of Training and Healthcare Services

Ms. Maas specializes in the development and presentation of technical training sessions on topics ranging from new user orientation to network administration. Ms. Maas has developed classes for public attendance and custom sessions for MC Services clients, including Apple Computer and Motorola.

Judy Kolstad, Office Manager

Before working part-time at MC Services, Judy worked in administration at a Brookfield ELCA congregation for 23 years. At MC Services she works in billing as well as customer service.

Lori Orfinik, Accountant

Lori just recently joined MC Services and is currently working part-time in Accounting. She also works at the front desk coordinating phone calls and customer service.

Mark Slosarek, Software Engineer

Mark began working for MC Services in 2005 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with an Electrical Engineering degree. During his time as a student, Mark gained extensive experience in database and web programming development as well as computer lab management and deployment. Since Mark joined MC Services he has earned certification in Apple, Microsoft, and FileMaker technologies. He is currently working toward the Apple Certified Systems Administrator certification.

Joel Hartmann, Designer

Joel joined MC Services in August 2002 after graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College and has served as web lead and team member on numerous web development and software application projects. He has extensive experience with computer graphics, both for print and the web. He has been working with Apple since System 9 up through the latest Mac OS 10.5 Leopard.

Andrew Pfeffer, Software Engineer

Prior to joining MC Services in 2005, Andrew spent four years working as the web master for the University Center at the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater. At MC Services he has taken the lead on projects involving shipment tracking and credit card processing. Andrew's work with Apple's latest Mac OS X operating system, has earned him the title Apple Certified Technical Coordinator. Andrew has also expanded his expertise to include FileMaker 8 and 9. He is currently a FileMaker 8 Certified Developer.
