MC SERVICES NAMED OFFICIAL TRAINER FOR ACTIVESAN, NEW METADATA CONTROLLER APPLIANCE FOR XSAN FROM ACTIVE STORAGE

PEWAUKEE, Wis., February 3, 2011 -- MC Services, an Apple Authorized Training Center and Technology Consulting firm, has been officially chosen to be a trainer in the Active Storage ActiveSAN Training and Certification program. It is one of the first three U.S. firms selected to provide professional technical training and certification for this newly developed Metadata Controller alternative to Apple’s discontinued Xserve.

MC Services' ActiveSAN courses will be held at the company's Apple Authorized Training Center in Pewaukee. Xsan-certified engineers and system administrators will be taught how to deploy Xsan and StorNext networks using ActiveSAN. Training is anticipated to launch shortly after the product is released to market in the second quarter of 2011. 

Active Storage publicly announced ActiveSAN on Monday, to much media attention, including coverage by New York Times, MSNBC and CNN.com. It is a server-based appliance that incorporates stunning Active Storage product design and the rock-solid performance and reliability of an Intel Nehalem server platform in a 1U rack form factor.
